The rapid growth of the world-renowned medical center, The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, has precipitated an urgent need for additional employee parking garages to accommodate 3,500 spaces by 2010.
The Clinic called on Integrity Parking to assess and recommend viable options to meet the additional parking needs including the capital requirements, annual operating and transportation expenses, revenue projections, and parking rates. Integrity researched land acquisition opportunities, tax valuations, environmental concerns, and zoning laws through city, state and community development resources to estimate shuttle requirements and identified best alternative new parking development options in reasonable proximity to the main Clinic campus.
Integrity recommended five locations for consideration for parking garage construction, as well as surface sites to meet the short-term employee parking requirements during construction. It also recommended financing options, development team members, and shuttle transportation systems. Ultimately, the Clinic chose to follow
Integrity’s interim transportation plan and use its number one recommended parking site as the best alternative to serve the Clinic’s substantial employee parking needs.
